Full Tilt Poker Classic Going Old School
Full Tilt Poker is back and bringing out all types of great tournaments, cash games and more. Here today, though, we are going to talk about how Full Tilt is going to be kicking it old school starting in just a few days. The popular online poker site who has risen from the ashes is going to be starting their Full Tilt Classic on February 15th , and it will run over the span of a week. The Classic is a popular option for players and has picked up steam over time. While we’ve seen many tournaments at Full Tilt and other sites offer a wide range of options, including the multi-entry option, the site has decided to go back to the basics for this series. The 16 events that are running will all be one simple format, which is a freezeout tournament. All of them, yes, all 16 will be the good ole standard freezout styles.
For those who want to re-buy, re-enter or add-on to their stack, it won’t be an option at this poker classic. If you get knocked out, that’s a wrap and you can go ahead and look forward to the next of the many events on the schedule. Don’t worry poker fans, you are still going to get a little bit of flavor in your coffee for this series, as they may all be freezeout events, but they are going to be offering multiple different types of games throughout the next week. You’ll not only find Hold’em events, but also Omaha, Triple Draw and Razz all featured throughout the series. It’ll still be plenty of fun, but there’s not going to be any “I’ll just take the risk, I can always buy back in”, because it’s all or nothing in these tournaments.
As for the actual schedule of the series, you’ll find that there are two tournaments running each day of the series. Each day, the tournaments will have the same buy-in, but will be different games. The smallest of the tournament buy-ins will be a $0.50 option to start, and they will increase through the 22nd of the month. Each day they’ll get bigger, and the buy-in for the $200k Main Event and the Pot Limit Omaha Six-Max Event is going to each be $100, which are the priciest of them all. Each day, one of the two tournaments will be the popular No Limit Hold’em variation, so if you are strictly a Hold’em player, there will always be something for you. If you have experience playing situs slot, it will be easier for you to play this game as well.
Now, for those players who are wondering what else will be going on with the series (because there always is, right?), you can look no further than a few promotions that will be running in the Classic. For starters, every tournament that a player plays in will earn you a ticket into a Full Tilt Classic Freeroll. There are two freerolls each day starting on the first day of the Classic. There will be the Classic Hold’em Freeroll, as well as the Classic Freeroll. If you earn a ticket in a Hold’em event, then you get to go into that Hold’em freeroll, and if you earn your ticket through another type of tournament, you go to the Classic Freeroll. It’s all pretty straight forward, but you’ll also find that each freeroll is going to pay out from five to 200 tournament tickets.
One thing that’s definitely worth pointing out is that the freeroll tickets that you earn are going to go towards the following day’s freerolls. Now, for the freerolls on the first day of action, you will win a ticket into one of those by earning at least one Full Tilt Point in the seven days leading up to the event. So essentially, you are going to get two freerolls just to start out the action by playing at Full Tilt in the week leading up, so you could potentially start the series off the right way!
Lastly, for those who don’t want to pay full price to get into the events (because no one really does), Full Tilt will be offering plenty of satellites to get into the action. To go along with the satellites, though, there will be a nice twist. For any player who satellites their way into an event are automatically going to be entered into a “last longer” competition, which will give players the chance to win a ticket into the Full Tilt Poker Classic Main Event. Quite the deal, and some additional reason to satellite into the tournaments. You may as well give those satellites a shot, because you not only can get into a nice sized tournament for much less than originally, but you can also win a free $100 ticket! Can’t beat that.
