Hi Bas, We don’t have anything to do with heli-skiing in the Dolomites, It isn’t looked upon so kindly… For general backcountry guiding you can just contact the Tourism office in Val Gardena, or also our friends at ProGuide or Alberto De Giuli.

Hello, I’m staying in plan de Gralba 3rd week of March. I want to give two of my friends a big present. I want to do some freeriding on the Sella Gruppe. Maybe dropped by helicopter? Which office I can go to arrange that and arrange a guide?

I am planning to visit the Dolomites June 17-24 with 4 other adults. We will have a car and would like to do day hikes. In Chamonix we used lifts to access amazing hikes. Any suggestions for the Dolomites? Are lifts open at that time? If not, any area recommended for day hikes?

I would recommend either the Alta Badia towns or Cortina. Both have great access.

Hi Yves, That is a big question as I do not know where you will be.
But the classics are the Sellaronda’s passes, also the Giau, the Erbe, Duran, San Pelligrino, Tre Croci, Furca and of course the Falzarego.
Best to base yourself in or around Alta Badia for all of these.

My two friends and I are going to be in the dolomite area June 1-3 2011 and would like to know if you know any 20-25 mile routes that would be good to do and if any refugees are open . If not are there any good day hikes from close town ( we will have no car, maybe ride if lucky.). I hear tent camping is not allowed and I assume that means sleeping under the stars also? Any suggestions would be appreciated .
