All 3 friends who did the same 3-day-recognition trail before the race either didn’t get to the Start or dropped off the actual race. I like a bit of surprise, so I preferred to train hard, 100km-in-3-day train also, but I did it on the Dolomites, from La Villa to Falzrego to Piz Boé and back+ Mt Antelao ascent and back from home in Valle di Cadore….
NOW YOU JUST GIVE ME THE START 4 my next, first article 4 Dolomitesport!
stay tuned
(meanwhile, Merry Christmas and HAPPY NEW YEAR!)
There’s no way I could ever get sick of looking at pics of this area. Absolutely gorgeous. UTMB is very high on my list of races to experience.
Random question, when trail running and shooting at the same time, how do you carry your gear? Any specific gear (lens, flash, bag, etc) that lends itself to be particularly useful while trail running? As of right now all I carry is a small durable point and shoot while running.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you both!
Bobby
Hi Bobby,
For camera gear on big runs we carry a 5d and a 24-105 f4.0. Sometimes I will carry the body and Janine the lens – this way it is a great set up and not so heavy. If we need, and it is not such a long trip, we’ll add the 16-35 2.8.
