Very useful and detailed info, thanks! been there 20 years ago, in Dec. staying at the Kleine Scheidegg Hotel, a bit decadent but interesting as a museum of lost mountain atmosphere.
Th train trip up to the glacier and the view of it from the top is still vivid and sparkly in my memory, just like encountering a giant.
Will be returning there this Summer, as it is perfect altitude and elevation to train 4…Everest Marathon 2011.
